All travellers who require a visa must obtain it in advance through Tanzania's official e-Visa portal. The cost is USD 50.

Passports must be valid for at least six (6) months beyond the date of entry into Tanzania.

Citizens of referral countries are advised to apply well in advance, as their applications are referred to the Immigration Department in Dar es Salaam and require additional processing time.

A visa on arrival is available to eligible nationalities at major entry points, including Julius Nyerere International Airport (DAR). Participants choosing this option should carry the applicable visa fee in cash (US dollars), together with a passport valid for at least six (6) months, a return ticket, and proof of accommodation.

For a smoother and faster application process, delegates are strongly encouraged to apply online before travelling. Please refer to the attached Tanzania e-Visa Application Guidance for Delegates, which provides step-by-step instructions on completing the application, including the required visa category, document upload requirements, and the fast-track approval process coordinated by the event organisers.

All delegates must obtain their accreditation badge, which is mandatory for access to the Forum and the Cultural Dinner.

Delegates must present the identity document used during online registration, such as a valid passport or an approved national identity card, for badge issuance.

Badges will be issued at a registration desk located at the gate of the Julius Nyerere International Convention Centre (JNICC) on 4 August at 10:00 AM and on 5 and 6 August from 07:30 AM and the partner hotels on 4 August at 10:00 AM.

For subsequent visits to the venue, participants with badges may proceed directly through security without stopping at the registration desk.

As part of the online registration process, participants and members of delegations will need to provide the date and time of their arrival in Dar es Salaam, including complete flight details.

Most international flights arrive at Terminal 3 of Julius Nyerere International Airport (airport code: DAR), located approximately 12 km (around 30–40 minutes’ drive) from the city center and the partner hotels. Upon arrival, ushers will direct participants to the complimentary hotel shuttles.

Transportation will be covered for delegates staying at the partner hotels listed above from 3 August to 7 August. In the event that participants stay in other hotels, they should make their own arrangements. There will be an information desk in the arrivals hall near the baggage carousels, and our ushers will provide the necessary information on the shuttles.

August falls within Dar es Salaam’s dry season and is one of the most pleasant times of year to visit. A typical day ranges from a high of around 84°F (29°C) to a low of around 70°F (21°C). Rain is uncommon during this month, and most days are sunny with around 8 hours of bright sunshine. Coastal humidity remains relatively high, and a light sea breeze keeps conditions comfortable.

Sunrise is typically around 06:30 and sunset around 18:20, giving roughly 11.5 hours of daylight. Light, breathable clothing is recommended, along with sunscreen, sunglasses, and a light layer for air-conditioned indoor venues.

The Government of the United Republic of Tanzania is committed to ensuring the safety and security of all delegates throughout the meeting. Participants are kindly requested to comply with security procedures, including screening at hotels, the conference venue, and other designated locations.
